The City of Barrie tartan was developed to commemorate Barrie’s 150th anniversary in 2003, utilizing colours from the Coat of Arms. It was designed by Burnett & Struth Scottish Regalia Ltd. who, having been in business in Barrie for over 30 years, wanted to provide a meaningful gesture of their appreciation to the community.
