This tartan was designed by Madame Louise Pontbriand to celebrate the 125th Anniversary of the founding of Saint Joseph de Sorel in 1875.
The Scottish Tartans Authority has also recorded this as STA No. 6230 with the threadcount doubled and very slightly modified colours. The earlier tartan is dated October 1995, whereas the latter is 2000. It is this latter tartan that is shown, as the colours are clearer.
