This tartan was designed by Patricia Jenkins of the Loomcrofters in Gagetown. It was commissioned by Lord Beaverbrook and then a version of it was adopted by New Brunswick as its district tartan. This earlier version was registered with CIPO on the 16th December 1958. It uses nine colours, two more than the New Brunswick: Forest Green, Meadow Green, Azuse Blue, Gold, Brown, Red and Grey, plus Black and White.

** If you intend to weave or otherwise use any of these patterns, please be aware that you may need the written permission of the designer or producer. This information can be found in the Scottish Register of Tartans.
