This tartan was formed from an error in the creation of the Fennell Grandmothers tartan (STA No. 6112). It was designed by Andre Lavigne using some of the major elements found in the tartans of his ancestors: Leitch, Munro, Wilson and Stuart. But during the design process, a version missing the white pivot was woven and this has become the MacFarhadian tartan.
** If you intend to weave or otherwise use any of these patterns, please be aware that you may need
the written permission of the designer or producer. This information can be found in the Scottish Register of Tartans.
