DESCRIPTION

This tartan was designed in 1972 by Anne Salisbury for the Hespeler Festival for which she won first prize and the cloth was made at the Dominion Woollen Mills in Hespeler. Hespeler is now part of Cambridge, Ontario and the Mills closed down in 1986. During the Queen and Prince Phillip's visit to Cambridge on June 28th 1973 they were both presented with gifts woven in the Hespeler Festival Tartan.
