The Highlands of Haliburton are in Ontario surrounding Minden and Haliburton and including part of Algonquin Park. This tartan was commissioned by the Haliburton Highlands Chamber of Commerce and was designed by Patricia Jenkins, founder of The Loomcrofters of Gagetown and registered with CIPO in 1963. (A similar tartan, given below, is also recorded by the Scottish Tartans Authority but the design is attributed to Bob Martin.)

The colours are:

Blue and Green are for the waters and forests,
Red & Gold for autumn foliage and loyalty to ‘Crown and Country’,
White for the provincial flower, the Trillium and for the winter snow, and
Brown for the earth and all fur-bearing animals.
