This tartan was designed by Richard L. Allan of Kinnear's Mills, Megantic County in Quebec. Mr. Allan was the founder of the
Megantic Historical Society. It was registered with CIPO on 26th February 1968.
Its colours represent the beauty of the County's landscape;
the sumptuous green of the hills, the icy-white of the snow,
the rich brown of the earth,
the deep red of the autumn leaves and
the bright yellow of dandelions and buttercups.
** If you intend to weave or otherwise use any of these patterns, please be aware that you may need
the written permission of the designer or producer. This information can be found in the Scottish Register of Tartans.
