This tartan was designed and woven by Mme. Lise Dumont of ‘Les Tisserandes d’Entrelacs’ for the Quebec Weavers Guild conference in 2007 which was held in Entrelacs. It was officially accepted as the municipal tartan by the Municipalite d’Entrelacs in Quebec on May 12th 2006 (Resolution 06-05-92-5.9).
The tartan was designed in homage to the Scottish pioneers of the region, and formed a tangible link between the past and future. The tartan incorporates the Municipal colours:
Green to represent the forests,
Blue for the lakes,
Gold for the mountains and
White for the snow.
** If you intend to weave or otherwise use any of these patterns, please be aware that you may need
the written permission of the designer or producer. This information can be found in the Scottish Register of Tartans.
