This is another of the ‘Fathers of Confederation’ series by Sainthill-Levine & Co Ltd. and woven by West Coast Woollen Mills. Sir Alexander Galt was a Canada East MP and Minister of Finance in the government following Confederation. The design of this tartan is very similar to the designs for John Johnson, Edward Palmer and Sir Samuel Tilley in this series. The tartans only differ by one colour.
** If you intend to weave or otherwise use any of these patterns, please be aware that you may need
the written permission of the designer or producer. This information can be found in the Scottish Register of Tartans.
