(SIR) JOHN HAMILTON

DESCRIPTION

This is probably another of the ‘Fathers of Confederation’ series by Sainthill-Levine & Co Ltd. and woven by West Coast Woollen Mills.

There were confusingly two Fathers of Confederation by the name of John Hamilton Gray. One was the premier of Prince Edward Island and Chairman of the Quebec conference that led to Confederation. The other was a New Brunswick politician who pressed for Confederation and was a delegate to the Charlottetown conference. He was not knighted.
