CITY OF VICTORIA (2)



DESCRIPTION

This tartan was designed by Steve Ashton of Freedom Kilts in Victoria. The six colors are those used on the Totem Poles of the First Peoples of the Province.

They are arranged with

the Blue to represent the ocean that surrounds the island of Victoria,
the Green is for the trees and parks,
the Black for roads;
the Red to represent the bricks of the Heritage Buildings,
and the White and Yellow to represent the 'splashes of color' from the City's Hanging Baskets.
